Category Analyst – Billerica, MA

SUMMARY

The category management analyst supports the sales team’s goals and objectives
through thorough data analysis. The analyst will represent JOH in front of clients and
customers, identifying trends, reviewing key indicators, and anticipating objections. The
analyst is responsible for delivering impactful summaries that highlight opportunities for
growth for the client, customer, and category.

RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Competently build presentations for business reviews, sales and interview
    presentations; interpret their meaning
  • Understand the needs and objectives of the business and deliver results by
    partnering with colleagues to develop sound business strategy
  • Comprehend consumer behavior/shopper loyalty data and apply actionable
    insights
  • Ability to maintain and manage a client portfolio. Continually evaluate business
    climate while acting strategically to anticipate business challenges and
    opportunities
  • Develop personalized marketing plans on retailer specific data platforms.
    Cultivate strong relationships with specific retailer merchandising teams.
  • Understand and explain the Nielsen and IRI syndicated data concepts, and
    recommend applications
  • Attend and present at business reviews, client interviews, and sales meetings
  • Attend trade conferences and sales appointments
  • Correspond / communicate with customers, clients and office staff
  • Act as a resource / liaison among departments, customers and peers
  • Technically assist departmental members as required

SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS
  • Experience in a past analytical role. CPG industry experience strongly preferred.
  • Proficiency in Nielsen and IRI platform; Unify, Market Advantage, AOD, Nitro
  • Experience with Shopper Insights Data/Retailer Specific Loyalty Card Databases
    preferred (ExtraCare, EYC, Dunnhumby, etc)
  • Experience developing and executing marketing strategy a plus
  • BA/BS Degree and past successful sales experience or related job experience
  • Proficiency in JDA/Apollo planogram software
  • Strong technical and analytical skills and the ability to translate data in
    actionable plans
  • Ability to utilize internal databases and in-house category analysis software
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Proficiency in extracting and mining data and the technical/analytical skills to
    translate data into actionable plans

Financial Administrator – Billerica, MA

SUMMARY

This position obtains financial data and other documentation for use in paying customer invoices, clearing customer deductions and tracking all spending on behalf of the clients(s).

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Pays and/or clears invoices before customer deducts from client
  • Clears deductions / Problem solving / Performing research to resolve client inquiries
  • Validate and clear customer audits
  • Tracks all spending, cases used
  • Keeps an organized filing system
  • Data entry for Access (tracking ads, TPRs, bill backs, scans, etc.)
  • Maintains detailed working knowledge of assigned clients’ policies and procedures and conforms to these requirements

JOH, a food broker with a growing and stable 500+ employee, multi-state company, headquartered in Billerica, MA area, has immediate part-time openings (up to 28 hours per week) for Retail Merchandisers in the following areas:

Performance and/or Education:

We are looking for part time individuals to work 28 hours a week doing merchandising and reset work in a grocery store.

Prerequisites:

High school diploma or equivalent and past successful retail sales experience or related job experience preferred but not required. Must be able to work with minimal supervision, have own personal transportation and a valid driver’s license. Standing, bending and lifting are a standard part of this job.
